This August we return to the Edinburgh Fringe for an 8th consecutive year and it’s shaping up to be our biggest festival yet, and that’s no superlative, as for the first time since its conception, the Scottish Comedy Festival has added a new venue!
Welcome Nightcap!

Now with venues in both Edinburgh’s historic Old Town and bustling New Town, this Fringe the Scottish Comedy Festival is looking forward to a record breaking number of performances.

Whether you’re looking for award nominated solo acts, compilation shows, highly tuned stand-up or off the wall improvisation, a refined panel show or late night anarchy, this year’s expanded Scottish Comedy Festival lineup has it all.

Of course if that’s all too much and you just can’t make up your mind, you can always let us do the choosing for you with our flagship ‘Scotland’s Pick of the Fringe’, take a lucky dip with the Mystery Hour, or tune-in in person or online to ‘The Comedy Results’ with Gavin Webster to hear everything that went right or wrong that day at the Fringe.

What’s more, as always, we have a mixture of ticketed and ‘pay what you want’ options, so you can book in advance via edfringe.com or simply turn up on the day and ‘try before you buy’.

As always, loyal to its roots, The Scottish Comedy Festival continues to exceed its voluntary quota, with over half of our venue lineups featuring acts hailing from North of Hadrian’s wall, highlighting the talent that performs here all year round, because when the Fringe stops, we don’t.

Now let's all go have a laugh!

p.s. You heard us, ‘North of Hadrian’s wall’, come back to the fold Berwick Upon Tweed!
You know you want to!
