Launch the streamers and break out the party hats!!!! This August marks 10 years of the Scottish Comedy Festival!!! Obviously we decided to celebrate the only way we know how. You guessed it: We’re putting on EVEN MORE SHOWS!!!!!

Everyone loves our home at The Beehive Inn on the Grassmarket, but more shows means we need more space; so we’ve added two more venues! The Bunker beneath the iconic Black Bull on Leith St will have a full roster of 9 shows, while the ledgendary Waverley Bar on St Mary’s Street will now have Scottish Comedy Festival shows every night of the Fringe!

Of course we all know what more shows means…even more variety! This year we’ve got everything from highly tuned stand-up to off the cuff wit, refined political satire to late night anarchy, award-winning solo acts and of course multi-comic compilations, including our flagship show ‘Scotland’s Pick of the Fringe’ featuring a hand-picked selection of our favourite acts from across the festival.

But it’s not just more shows we’ve got for 2022, we’ve also got more ways for you to ‘fringe’, with ALL shows now offering the opportunity to reserve your seat in advance by purchasing a ticket via edfringe.com, with remaining seats still available on the day under the budget friendly ‘Pay What You Want’ model.

You might be wondering, with all these extra shows does that mean we’ve watered down our commitment to ensure there’s always a home at the World's Biggest Arts Festival for acts based right here in Scotland? Our answer: Don’t be a numpty! This year we’ve got more current and former Scottish Comedian of the Year winners than you can shake a filthy sporran at…….okay, we also have some Irish Acts as well…. Just don’t mention the New Zealander…. Did someone say Chinese-Spaniard?…Oh Sod it! Let's just have a Laugh!
